Our Favorite Places

We are so excited to share some of our favorite places with you in case you need inspiration for the remainder of your trip! Our scheduled events will take place Saturday-Monday, but we recommend extending your trip at least a day or two so you can explore Tahoe on your own terms.

South Lake Brewing Company

1920 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

The coldest, most delicious beer in South Lake Tahoe. All the brews are top-notch, but our favorite is the Marlette Sunrise! This brewery has free, weekly Trivia Night on Thursdays at 6:30pm! Highly recommend!!!

Fallen Leaf Lake

South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Fallen Leaf Lake is a hidden gem in Tahoe. We recommend driving to the back of Fallen Leaf where you will find a fire station, a cute old church, and you can take a short walk that leads to a gorgeous waterfall. You can't go to Fallen Leaf without stopping at the Marina Store. You can buy a scoop of ice cream and browse their shop for Fallen Leaf souvenirs. If you're feeling generous, you can purchase a Fallen Leaf Fire Department T-Shirt! All proceeds go to their fire department.

Riva Grill On the Lake

900 Ski Run Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Looking for a cold drink after a long day in the Tahoe sun? Stop at Riva Grill for a famous Wet Woody. It is a delicious frozen rum drink. Our favorite is the Red Headed Woody made with Sammy's Red Head Macadamia Rum. During the summer, they have Wet Woody Wednesday to enjoy discounted Wet Woodys, all day and all night, every Wednesday.

Yūgen Cuisine

1132 Ski Run Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Yugen offers amazing sushi and it is a super short drive from the Hilton hotel (or you can the 10-minute walk!).

Stateline Lake Tahoe Casinos

Stateline, NV 89449

Looking for some indoor fun? Stop by the casinos! It is only a 5-minute drive from the Hilton hotel.

Emerald Bay Beach

Emerald Bay, CA 92651

If you want the most picturesque views of Lake Tahoe- go to Emerald Bay! You absolutely need to get there early due to the impacted parking. Also keep in mind, it is quite a long and steep walk to get down and back up from Emerald Bay. But, definitely worth checking out! At the base of Emerald Bay, you can take a tour of Vikingsholm Castle. You can also kayak or paddle board to the island in the middle of Emerald Bay (Fanette Island).

Tallac Historic Site

1 Heritage Way, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Tallac is a fun place to walk around and head back in time as you tour the historic estates and take in the beautiful lake views. The Tallac Historic Site is composed of the Baldwin Estate, the Pope Estate, and the Valhalla Estate. Walking through the grounds is free, but for an additional cost, you can tour the Pope House, take a Site Walk, and take a Servants Tour.
