How We Met

It was a chilly November morning when Dylan and Gwen's paths first crossed. They were all geared up to cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Dylan was standing in the student section with his friends when Gwen decided to stand next to him. They exchanged some glances but said nothing. As the game went on, Dylan's friends convinced him to talk to Gwen. They talked, exchanged numbers, and decided to go see a movie that night. Dylan and Gwen started going on more and more dates and started to fall in love. They spent the next three and half years going to all kinds of Iowa sporting events, meeting each others friends and family, and growing as a couple. When Gwen decided to move to California in 2018 Dylan knew he wanted to go with. They moved halfway across the country and started a new life together. They enjoyed their time in SoCal but knew they wanted to move closer to home. In the spring of 2020 the two moved to Davenport Iowa where they are excited to start the next chapter in their lives as a married couple.

The Proposal

Gwen and Dylan were planning on meeting some friends in Huntington Beach to watch the sunset and grab some drinks. They were celebrating the semester being over and saying goodbye before they all left for winter break. Dylan asked Gwen if she wanted a picture (which should have been the first sign something was up) and so they started taking pictures. Dylan then got down on one knee and Gwen knew what was coming. Dylan pulled out a shiny red box, opened it, and inside was a gorgeous ring. Gwen grabbed the ring even before Dylan was done asking and said yes!! The two celebrated with their friends, called their parents and family, and had a night to remember.
