Dylan and I both went to Randall High School. He was a year above me and we knew of each other, but we didn’t necessarily know each other very well. I went to esthetics school in Oklahoma City and lived there for about 2 years. I moved back to Amarillo to work at Awaken Med Spa at the end of January 2022. One of my best friends, Jordan, had been trying to re-introduce Dylan and I for a while, even before I moved back. While my mom and I were looking for apartments, we ran into Jordan, her soon to be husband at the time, Cade, and Dylan at Sharky's. After saying “hi,” we went inside to order and once we got done eating, I got a message from Jordan. She was telling me that Dylan’s jaw dropped when he saw me and how he had told them that I was “the prettiest girl he had ever seen." My mom and I both thought it was so sweet. Long story short, now here we are, a little over a year later… There is a saying that goes “when you know, you just know." For Dylan and I, this couldn’t be more true! I knew the very first night, when I sat on his couch, and we talked for hours- that he was the only one for me.
I knew of Gabby in high school and I always seemed to notice her more than any of the other girls. She doesn’t believe me when I say that, but it’s true. She has always been so beautiful inside and out and it's always caught my attention. Years went by without contact (I actually tried reaching out to her multiple times, but she always blew me off), when finally, I was able to get her attention back. Cade, Jordan, and I were sitting at Sharky’s one afternoon talking about how Gabby was moving back to Amarillo from OKC. (I should say that shortly before this, Gabby and Erica had walked in.) I looked at Cade and Jordan and told them that I thought she was so beautiful and wished she’d give me a chance. A week or so later, Gabby was moving back and luckily, I got my chance. My chance to help her move into her new apartment. Long story short, we moved Gabby in on a Friday or Saturday, Erica left Sunday morning, and Gabby came over that evening to hang out. Fortunately for me, she ended up never leaving. Within a couple of days, her closest slowly started to fill mine and, as my space in my house slowly decreased, I realized that this would be the girl I would end up marrying one day. Now, here we are and this is just the start of our story. This is how Gabrielle has stolen my heart.
