It's Happening!

On April 11th, 2018 Ana and her friend Melisa were enjoying their last night of vacation in beautiful Cartagena, Colombia. They were ready to go home when they passed "Cafe Havana", a live salsa bar in the middle of downtown. Dylan and his two friends were already inside enjoying the night. Ana and Dylan met at the bar and immediately gravitated towards each other. They spend the night dancing, drinking and exploring the city. Ana showed Dylan how to dance salsa and Dylan... well, he is still learning :)

As they got to her hotel in Cartagena, she asked: when will I see you again? At that point he lived in Denver and she lived in NY. The odds were against them. Neither of them really believed in long distance relationships. He said - I can come visit you in NY or maybe we can meet somewhere half way! The following week they were both looking at plane tickets to meet somewhere. "What about L.A?" - she said. Their first date was in L.A, their second date was in NY, their third date was in Denver and they continued to travel the world together.

A year and half went by and they both knew they were ready for the next step. Dylan asked her parents for permission to marry her on Christmas Eve and they were thrilled she had found the one. As he was planning the actual proposal, he had the best idea. Ana always said she wanted to get proposed in a place with beautiful scenery so he knew Peru would be the best place! They climbed all the way to Machu Picchu and as they were on the top of the mountains, he went down on one knee and asked her the big question. She couldn't stop jumping up and down. It was real, they were getting married!

After debating a lot on whether to move to Denver or NY, the couple decided to make Denver their new home. Ana fell in love with the good vibes, the mountains, and the outdoor life so she packed up her city life and moved to beautiful Denver in March 2019. Now, they bought a lovely home in the Highlands where they plan on starting their married life for years to come!
