Taylor and Dwight met through a mutual friend who invited him to hang out with some fellow classmates. Unbeknownst to him, it was actually a girls night out, but God’s plan was already at work. He was surprised upon his arrival but was immediately drawn to Taylor’s beauty and kind demeanor. They quickly became friends but he imagined so much more. Every day after school, he would climb a particular stairwell in the library near where she would study just for the chance to say "hi". They had plenty of great conversations in the library but due to the rigor of med school hadn’t had time to just have fun. As the semester came to a close, Dwight knew this was his chance to finally spend time with her. And with God’s perfect timing, one day they were hungry and free at the same time. So with a little push from Biya, he invited her to lunch where they solidified an undeniable connection. Before Taylor went home to Houston for winter break, they spent a few days hanging out in Nashville; eating, playing pool, and performing a spur of the moment duet at Guitar Center. Their affection for one another had grown and it was time for Dwight to make his next move. When Taylor returned to Nashville, Dwight asked her out on an official date, making his intentions clear. They went to J. Alexander for dinner and afterwards bowled at Pinewood social. Dwight showed a bit too much of his sarcastic sense of humor that night but the rest of the date more than made up for it. He was so captivated by her beauty and personality that night that he made the firm decision to make her his girlfriend and ask her out at Cadaver Ball (Med School Prom). He used the Love and Basketball approach with ping pong to ask her to Cadaver Ball, and had the DJ play “Differences” by Ginuwine while he asked her out. That night, he had a feeling she could be “the one,” and he was right. The rest will be witnessed by us all forever more.
