Once upon a time, a man saw the face of a woman so beautiful, he knew he must meet her. This is the story of how Nate finally landed a first date. While chatting with his neighbor, Aaron, Nate enjoyed stories of Aaron's travels across the country with a special group of friends. Never one to tell a story without a visual aid, Aaron showed Nate pictures of these journeys. Nate happened to noticed one individual from this group in particular and asked Aaron about her. With the idea that he wanted to meet her, Nate began to find excuses to drop by while she was at the Shriver household. After a few months, Whitley began to notice how frequent Nate was around. They began to talk and had their first date April 4th, 2019. After a Summer of love, they questioned if things were moving too quickly. They took some time apart but Nate knew by Christmas that the only gift he wanted was to spend his time with her. In March of 2020, the world stayed home and Whitley found herself at home with Nate. Struggling with the reality of not being able to travel as she had for years, Nate provided a warm home base for Whitley and their love grew. In January of 2021, they decided to solidify their home with the addition of a new family member. Enter to the scene, Bruce, the famous happy go lucky canine best friend to Nate (who originally was adopted to help Whitley cope with being home all the time during the pandemic - Bruce chose otherwise). The trio lived happily for over a year; a little family in their own right. After a lot of consideration, Nate decided to make this thing legal. In May of 2022, Whitley and Nate travelled to their favorite vacation destination, Las Vegas, for tattoos and concerts. In between all of the fun, Nate took a calm moment during the golden hour in front of the Bellagio Fountains to ask Whitley if she had time for forever with him. She said yes. And now we're here, heading towards Happily Ever After.
