Neither one of us expected to find the love of their life in a warehouse in Trenton, NJ, but here we are!! After working together at TerraCycle for a few years, a few flirtatious texts back and forth, and a global pandemic, we officially went on our first date on June 26, 2020. We laughed long into the night, and it was after that date that we knew this was something special. Throughout 2.5 years of dating, we went through some of the hardest times together, but also celebrated so many exciting milestones. On October 2, 2022 (probably the rainiest day in history), we went to Renault Winery for a tour and a tasting. We then were on our way to Scotland Run Country Club for some happy hour fun when we unfortunately got the news that they were closed due to flooding. I thought "these things happen, we'll go another day" while Brett was internally screaming, as that was meant to be the proposal location with a hidden photographer. I continued to be blissfully unaware of the chaos that was ensuing in Brett's mind as we continued our errands. We finally made it home, changed into some cozy clothes, and Brett popped the question in our living room. After I cried and said "Are you serious?" seven or eight times, we officially became fiancées! Of course Brett thought of everything, so we had to make the official even more official with our closest loved ones and we enjoyed some champagne, cocktails, and snacks at one of our favorite local establishments: Chickie & Pete's. Now that the dust has settled, let's get ready to party!!!
