James and Alexandra met in junior high school and became close friends. They had secret crushes on one another through the years while attending high school and hung out together everyday during lunch hour with their mutual friends. This continued during their senior year where Alex and James were by chance placed in two classes together which allowed for a love interest to blossom.

During the last few weeks of their final year of high school, James asked Alex to prom by baking her a cake with the word 'PROM?' on it. Alex said, "yes" and rushed to pick out the perfect dress to wear for their special night. Alex and James remember their prom like it was yesterday. They danced, laughed and couldn't stop smiling the entire time. As the night started to come to an end the DJ announced he would be playing his last song. He put on a slow song and James surprised Alex by asking her to be his girlfriend! Alex said, "yes" and they left prom together as a couple. James and Alexandra have been together ever since.

James surprised Alex by buying her a dress and paid for her to go get her nails done. He planned out a special getaway to Pioneertown near Joshua Tree and rented a sweetheart's cabin for a couple of nights. They spent quality time together during the first night of their stay, but little did Alex know that James was secretly planning on proposing to her in the morning. James woke up around 3 AM and snuck outside to set up a beautiful arrangement of flowers and candles surrounding a white desert blanket. At sunrise, James told Alex to get ready and to put on the dress he had bought for her because he wanted to go to Pappy & Harriet's (local restaurant with music) after they watched the sunrise together. Alex got ready and as she walked outside, she sees James standing next to the surprise arrangement that he had set up for her. James prepared a heartfelt speech for Alex, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Alex, with tears of joy in her eyes, said, "YES!". And with that, Alex and James were officially engaged!

10 years to the day since their prom night, James and Alex are getting married. The couple shares the same sentiment, "it truly feels like we have grown up together. From sneaking into dorm rooms during college, to getting our first apartment together, adopting our favorite pup, 'Addie', getting new jobs, moving to different cities multiple times and working to build a deep, true love for one another over the years... We couldn't imagine our lives without one another and are extremely excited for the next chapter as a married couple. We can't wait to celebrate this monumental moment in our lives with you!
