We met on tinder while Dylan was home on leave for the holidays. We had a date planned to see if the spark felt online translated to real life. One of us (neither of us can remember who) fell ill and had to cancel plans. Dylan shortly flew back to Arizona leaving a thousand miles between us. The following weeks consisted of skype dates and late-night phone conversations full of those deep belly laughs that leave your stomach sore. He became my best friend before I even had the chance to hold his hand. He must've felt the same because he took leave and booked a flight home for us to meet. After spending those short but sweet days together Dylan asked me to be his girlfriend before leaving again. Now seven years later I’m sitting on our couch cuddled up with the dogs writing out the beginning of our love story as we plan our wedding day.
