The Lakes Region is a staple of New England. The largest of these lakes is Lake Winnipesaukee, a whopping 20.7 miles long! Activities here include boating, fishing, zip-lining, hiking around various mountains nearby, and exploring local eateries. What would spooky season in New England be without a little witchcraft? Visit the Salem Witch Museum to dive into the chilling history of the Salem Witch Trials. Taking the train into Salem is recommended, as parking spaces can be limited in October.
