Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Michaela Duffy and Austin Agosti
We may be biased, but we believe there is no better place to spend the fall than in New England. We have comprised a list of our favorite places to visit and things to do, just for you!
Acadia National Park

Acadia National Park

Mount Desert Island, ME

If you're here for longer than a weekend, a trip up to Acadia is a MUST. Hike iconic trails, explore Bar Harbor (properly pronounced Bah Hahbah), feast on the best seafood you'll ever taste, and stargaze with uninterrupted views like you've never seen before. Favorites here include Cadillac Mountain, Jordan Pond, Thunder Hole, Sand Beach, and the many lighthouses you'll find around Mount Desert Island. Plan ahead of time for a trip up here, hotels book up quickly! Reach out to Michaela for more detailed recs!

Carlson Orchards, Inc

Carlson Orchards, Inc

Our favorite apple picking spot! Enjoy great food, hard cider on tap, and of course, fresh apples that you can pick yourself!

Crawford Notch State Park

Crawford Notch State Park

Hart's Location, NH

In the heart of the White Mountains, Crawford Notch is known for its stunning views, winding highways, and breathtaking fall foliage.

Franconia Notch State Park

Franconia Notch State Park

Lincoln, NH

The photo says it all. Yet another state park with incredible views!

Kancamagus Highway

Kancamagus Highway

Kancamagus Highway, NH Route 112, NH

Buckle up for a road trip along New Hampshire's most beautiful highway, Route 112. With scenic lookouts, beautiful trails, and picturesque covered bridges along the way, you'll certainly need to bring your camera for the ride here! We recommend starting your journey in Lincoln, and ending in Conway.

Lake Winnipesaukee

Lake Winnipesaukee

Various Towns, NH

The Lakes Region is a staple of New England. The largest of these lakes is Lake Winnipesaukee, a whopping 20.7 miles long! Activities here include boating, fishing, zip-lining, hiking around various mountains nearby, and exploring local eateries. Reach out to Michaela for some special recs if you go here, there's so many options!

Minute Man National Historical Park

Minute Man National Historical Park

Lincoln, MA

Go back in time and revisit history with a trip to Minute Man National Historical Park! This park offers guided tours, scenic views, and reenactments at the site where the Revolutionary War began.

The Mount Washington Cog Railway

The Mount Washington Cog Railway

Mount Washington, NH

Climb to the peak of the 2nd tallest mountain east of the Mississippi on this historic railway! Not recommended for those with a fear of heights.

Old Orchard Beach

Old Orchard Beach

Old Orchard Beach, ME

A must for seafood lovers. The iconic pier closes in the fall, but many shops and seafood restaurants are open year round! This is one of our favorite spots for a weekend getaway.

Salem Witch Museum

Salem Witch Museum

Salem, MA

What would spooky season in New England be without a little witchcraft? Visit the Salem Witch Museum to dive into the chilling history of the Salem Witch Trials. Taking the train into Salem is recommended, as parking spaces can be limited in October.

York / Nubble Lighthouse

York / Nubble Lighthouse

York, ME

Southeastern Maine is the perfect spot for a mix of fantastic seafood and incredible ocean views. Visit Nubble Lighthouse to see one of the most photographed spots in New England!
