The Hanging Lake trailhead is located approximately 10 miles east of Glenwood Springs along Interstate-70 in Glenwood Canyon. The trail follows Dead Horse Creek, with footbridges spanning the creek along the way. The trail is a steep mile-long climb with uneven rocky terrain. Wear proper footwear. The parking lot fills early so plan on an early start or a long walk.
