Coronado Island
One of the more scenic places in San Diego. Drive right across the bridge to get an incredible view of the downtown skyline. Make sure to check out the historic Hotel del Coronado, Coronado Brewery, the beach (obviously), and the many boutique shops the island has to offer.
USS Midway
Board the USS Midway, a retired US Navy ship that saw action in the Pacific Theater. See what life was like aboard this floating city.
The Taco Stand
One of the tastiest fast food style Mexican restaurants in the downtown area.
Old Town
Spanish-inspired old town just north of downtown San Diego that offers a view into the past and some authentic eateries. The bride and groom recommend Casa Guadalajara for a fancy sit-down Mexican food experience, accompanied by live music. Be prepared for a long wait, but get a marg at the bar.
Board & Brew - Pacific Beach
The bride and groom recommend this sandwich place for a quick and easy lunch stop that offers tasty sandwiches. This location is found in a wildly popular spot in San Diego for the college-age crowd.
Oceanside Municipal Fishing Pier
Popular walking location that allows pedestrian traffic a quarter-mile out over the Pacific Ocean. This is also one of the bride's favorite morning walking locations with a coffee in hand.
Gaslamp Quarter
If you're up for a night of festivities with tons of bars and restaurants in a quarter-mile stretch within downtown San Diego. Popular spots that the bride and groom recommend would be Onyx, Omnia, and Ghirardelli.
Little Italy
If you haven't made it to Europe, check out this taste of Italy just adjacent to the downtown area. A little more fancy for the dress code, but you'll definitely find a little bit of everything, including authentic Italian cuisine. Make sure to check out Salt 'N' Straw for their rotating ice cream flavors if you can make it fit after all the pizza and pasta.
The Rooftop Bar
Great view of the ocean and incredible cocktails. No reservations, so come early in the evening unless you want to wait.
Convoy Street
Probably one of the greatest concentrations of authentic Asian food outside of Asia. You'll find Korean BBQ, ramen, sushi, boba, and anything else you're looking for.
