"I had just gone through a break up and loaded up my car to find a new place to stay. I called my friend, Scott, who lived downtown at 4th and Plum. Scott happened to be having his roommate move out the same day and needed someone to fill his spot. I took it immediately. The apartment complex was downtown and on the roof next to the pool. I took most of my patients downtown and spent my weekends by the pool. Around a month after living in the new apartment one weekend Madison decided to lay out by the pool with friends she knew who lived in the complex. I had my eyes locked on her since she laid out her towel. I can still remember the black two piece she was wearing to this day. I swam up to her and began to small talk and invited her to play beer pong on an inflatable pool. I made her laugh and we ended the day exchanging numbers. I tried to set up a date for later that month, but it didn't work out. We were both busy and Madison had school and other things on her mind. We both lived our lives the next year. I followed Madison on social media and we would comment on posts back and fourth. She was traveling in Amsterdam and I commented on a photo of a window view down a beautiful street. "Jealous", I said. The following photo was a video clip of her clicking together wooden clogs. Quirky wooden shoes that were goofy. Madison responded, "Of the shoes or the view?". We laughed and it began a conversation ultimately leading to planning our first date. At Dewey's Pizza in Newport we shared a vegetable pizza and some adult beverages. We expressed life goals and our love for Cincinnati. We went on 6 straight dates to follow and never looked back".
