Drew likes to say we first met in our mutual friend's apartment, but truth is he didn't even say hello that day. Claire was the one that made the first move and asked for Drew's number via snapchat (the prime-time communication app in college, which Claire also added him on first). After months of harassment from our friends Sara and Gavin, Drew asked to go on our first semi-blind date. He interviewed for an internship with Claire's dad, Scott, the day before... So when Drew came to pick her up, Scott joked that he must've REALLY wanted the job. Long story short, he ended up with the girl and the internship.

After a long week, we planned our usual Friday night date. We had a nice dinner, and then decided to take a walk down to the art alley before heading home. After stopping in front of Claire's mural, she proceeded to blindly talk too much about her painting, not realizing that Drew was trying to take the mic until he grabbed her hands. He completely surprised her to the point that she didn't even recall if he got down on one knee (he did). At least she remembered she said yes!
