-Drake and I met at a roping & if you know me you KNOW I do not belong at a roping. When I left I called my best friend & said “i just met my future ex husband”. Just jokingly, I am never letting go.

To me, meeting at a place you wouldn’t normally be is nothing but fate.

He spent weeks trying to convince me to go on a date with him, and eventually convinced me to come over for moonlight roping (mind you I had no idea what that was)

This man then proceeded to keep me waiting at a gas station for over an hour after telling me he was almost there.. But for some reason I waited.

Moonlight roping is something you do on a full moon because it lights the sky up enough to be able to rope with no outdoor lights.

I watched him do this for hours, finally finishing around 2am. When I then convinced him to go to this 24hr food joint in town with his sister and some friends.

Our night ended around 4 in the morning and then he woke up around 6am kissed me on the forehead and went off to rope again.

Things have been hard, but through in through we choose one another.

We often talk about how lucky we both feel to be with one another, to have a love like that truly is such a blessing.

I thank God everyday for Drake and I know he thanks God for me. He is my calm in the storm. The light at the end of a very long and dark tunnel. My prince charming. My answered prayer.

Alissa has made me a much better person, not only for myself but our family. I strive everyday to be a better man for them. She loves whole heartedly & I love that the most about her.

We now are a blended beautiful family, filled with love and laughter
