Bailey’s perspective- It was my very first night “out” while in college. I was quite the hermit for my first few semesters at Texas State, but luckily I met my dear friend Colleen who invited me to come hang out with her and another girlfriend at a lounge in San Marcos. I was feeling very shy and out of place at first, especially when the girls ushered me over to two guys playing pool towards the back of the lounge. These two gentlemen turned out to be Drake and his dear friend Eric and had run in the same circle as my girlfriends. I shook both of their hands (not remembering either of their names) and went to sit with my friends near the DJ. After a while Colleen and our other friend began telling me that Drake kept asking more about me and wondering “where they’d been hiding me” all this time. Eventually he came to sit next to me and to be entirely honest, I don’t remember much about our first conversations that night due to my extreme nerves. Apparently it went well enough that he gave me his number before the night was over and we set up our first date shortly thereafter! Drakes perspective- Once upon a time, say oh, 7 years ago, my boy Eric and I were finishing up a long shift at Garcias Mexican Restraunt (The G). We decided that before returning home, we would go shoot a few rounds of pool at the local hooka bar to relax for a bit. This in and of itself wasn't unusual as we had become regulars of this establishment, however, little did I know my life was about to change forever. We were both still wearing our work uniforms, crusty salsa and queso included, as we talked trash on the table. I had my back to the door as I lined up my next shot when I heard the squeal of, "look it's Drake and Eric!". I turned around to see two friends of ours excitedly rushing over with an unknown tall bombshell in tow. We said our hellos, and were then introduced to Miss Bailey Beth Hill. I'll pause to insert here that Eric has always said that as soon as he saw Bailey, he knew I would throw the mack. In all reality, I quickly came to the same conclusion. The girls went and sat down at a table but our two friends were bouncing back forth between their table and talking to Eric and I playing pool. Naturally, i asked where they had been hiding Bailey all of this time, to which they excitedly hit me with a barage of questions such as, "why you think she's cute?!" and so on. We of course joined them at the table and were trying to conversate but Bailey really wasn't giving me much. While the other two were chattering away asking about my then fresh tattoo Bailey mostly remained silent. Come to find out, this was actually her first time ever "going out" in college and she had spent the last year and a half locked away in her dorm studying. I must admit I owe this move to my father, but as we began to leave and the others started to step away, I told her in a half whisper that I thought she was cute and asked if I could give her my number. That way the ball was in her court and if she wanted to just throw it away she could. Sure enough, as Eric and I were getting to our vehicles, I sat down on my motorcycle and my phone had a text from an unknown number saying, " I think you're pretty cute too". I showed it to Eric, we probably high fived, and the rest is history.
