Melanie and Joey met on the streets of Denver on their way to get a slice of pizza. Joey had been out and about with his then roommate, Brandon. Melanie was downtown with the girls, celebrating her good friend Lauren's Bachelorette. The Bachelorette party met up with Joey and Brandon at the Cowboy Lounge. However, Melanie and Joey's paths didn't cross until after the bar when Joey and Brandon were invited to continue the party at a pizza place around the corner. All of a sudden, Melanie and Joey started holding hands as they were walking. They sat down away from the group, entered into a great conversation, and Joey knew there was something very special about this California girl. At the same time, Melanie was thinking: "Who is this cute guy from North Dakota?" That was the start of a something truly amazing. A short while later, they went on their first date to Elitch Gardens (Denver's Amusement Park). They laughed, they screamed, and had an incredible time together. Three wonderful years later, they will be making the ultimate commitment to each other and couldn't be more excited to spend the rest of their lives together!
