Things To Do

Vermont is a beautiful state, especially in the Fall, with amazing food and breweries. If you can spend a little more time in the area, here are some of our favorite places!

Middlebury

Middlebury, VT

Middlebury's town center is very fun to walk around with great restaurants and shops to explore. Otter Creek runs through the middle of town, with a nice waterfall that you can walk over or sit by.

Vergennes

Vergennes, VT

A small New England town with good places to eat and drink. The Vergennes Laundry, Lu-Lu Ice Cream, Daily Chocolate, 3 Squares Cafe, and Shacksbury Cider are some of our favorites.

Shelburne Museum

6000 Shelburne Road, Shelburne, VT 05482

Shelburne Museum is a great place to view some art and architecture.  Over 150,000 works are exhibited in 39 exhibition buildings, 25 of which are historic and were relocated to the museum grounds. It is located on 45 acres near Lake Champlain.

Shelburne Farms

1611 Harbor Road, Shelburne, VT 05482

1,400 acres of pastures, woodlands, gardens, and historic buildings. Our go-to place for petting cute farm animals, or just taking a stroll to enjoy the gorgeous views.

Vermont Cookie Love

6915 U.S. 7, Ferrisburgh, VT 05473

Don't let the name fool you! Cookie Love is our favorite "creemee" spot in the summertime. Best in Vermont.

Mount Philo

Charlotte, VT 05445

This is a quick and easy hike with beautiful views at the top of Lake Champlain.

Snake Mountain Trail

2601 Mountain Road, Addison, VT 05491

In the Schatz Family's backyard is one of our favorite hiking trails with a spectacular payoff at the top. It is a family-friendly, but still challenging, 4 mile round-trip hike.

Douglas Orchards

1050 Vermont 74, Shoreham, VT 05770

A small, local, family-owned orchard with delightful pick-your-own fruit options.

Church Street Marketplace

131 Church Street, Burlington, VT 05401

We love walking down this pedestrian-only street in the heart of downtown Burlington where many of our favorite local shops and restaurants can be found.

Waterfront Park

20 Lake Street, Burlington, VT 05401

A beautiful park at the edge of Lake Champlain in Burlington with a nice boardwalk that transitions into one of our favorite recreational paths for walking and biking. Make sure to stop by Burlington Bay for an ice cream cone (aka "Creemee")!

Ben & Jerry’s

1281 Waterbury-Stowe Road, Waterbury Village Historic District, VT 05676

You can't come to VT without taking the Ben & Jerry's factory tour!

The Alchemist Brewery

100 Cottage Club Road, Stowe, VT 05672

VT's most popular beer, Heady Topper, is brewed in this beautiful location.
