Our love story began during a transitional season in our lives. The stars aligned and we were lucky to meet each other during the transition into a new job. We both did not believe in love at first sight; we never thought we would be blessed to the measure of finding a love like in the movies. It was an instant attraction from the moment we met. Our "love story" is not traditional, we actually think it's pretty funny and describes our relationship perfectly. Shortly after meeting, we were both invited to mini golf at a local bar so once again, the stars aligned and we both went. If you ask Alvin when he “knew I was the one” he’d say it was when he walked into the bar and saw me holding a full pitcher of beer. Alvin asked, “Is that your beer?” I proudly said “yes, of course” and we spent the rest of the night talking. From that day on, we were completely infatuated with each other. Day and night we would talk about anything and everything. We began to fall in love. About two months later, we went on a date to Krause’s Cafe for a stein competition. For those who don't know what a stein competition is, it’s basically a bunch of grown men holding a pitcher of beer while attempting to not drop nor spill the beer. Who knows… apparently it’s a German thing. Here’s the full circle moment… Alvin told me “I love you, will you be my girlfriend?” I obviously said yes and we finished our beers as boyfriend and girlfriend. Between that moment in Krauses to this moment right now, we have experienced so many wonderful moments as partners. From beautiful dates, to trials & tribulations, moving in together, vacations, job promotions, and, of course, our engagement. Our engagement was the most beautiful memory we have both experienced. The feeling of knowing that we have found our forever person brings us joy that cannot be expressed. We are more in love now than ever before and we cannot wait to be married. Life has been everything we have dreamed of and more, we are blessed to know and love each other… and now we get to do that FOREVER!.
