We're Getting Married!

Back in the summer of 2016, we discovered one another on Instagram. Based on mutual interests such as hiking and stand up paddle boarding, our photos kept popping up in one another's feed. After a few comments on photos here and there, Katie messaged John to ask where he lived because his photos were from all over the country. To her delight and surprise, he was from just 30 minutes down the road. After chatting via Instagram for about a month, they had their first date on September 1, 2016.... and the rest is history

Right after Christmas of 2019, we decided to go up north to visit family. We took the dogs out for a hike one afternoon on a trail near Glen Arbor (one of our favorite places). The trail brought us to a scenic view overlooking Lake Michigan. After a few minutes of playing with the dogs at the top of this climb, John said some sweet words and popped the question! We followed up the hike with a walk along one of our favorite Petoskey stone hunting beaches, enjoying our time together before sharing the great news with our friends and family.
