Located about 45 minutes away from the wedding venue is Carmel-by-the-Sea and Monterey! Why is it worth seeing? It's where Kelsey and Brandon got engaged! Carmel-by-the-Sea is a coastal town known for its beaches, shopping, and romantic housing architecture. Carmel-by-the-Sea and Monterey have a variety of adorable inns (Tickle Pink Inn is where K&B stayed their engagement night) that are a must try if you want to spend a night near the coast.
Have you ever tried produce off the side of a random highway? No? Well, this is your moment! Casa de Fruta is a Norcal hidden gem, and all the Bay Area locals know about it. Long story short, it's an adorable produce market off the side of a random highway. Not only is the produce tasty, it might be the only place you can get 10 avocados for $1.00 (yes, ONE DOLLAR). Casa de Fruta may be in the middle of nowhere, California, but it's certainly a memorable spot and worth a visit!
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is a Northern California must for all those who have a soft spot for amusement parks by the ocean. SCBB is a Bay Area favorite-- it's the perfect place for chilling on the beach, playing arcade games, shopping for cute CA merchandise, and eating dip-n-dots on the boardwalk after a long day of going on rides and having fun in the sun. B&K had a memorable date here in year 2 of their relationship. Check the photo section to see the picture taken of them before they rode the most famous ride at the Boardwalk: The Giant Dipper!
