We first met at Ed Levin Park as new P2 paragliding pilots months before we started dating. We found each other again through online dating as we both had paragliding in our profiles. Our first few meetups were to the coast for flying. Our shared love of paragliding has led to many fun adventures.

Amy, Peter's family, and Rhinoceros all went to the Donovan family cabin in Tahoe National forest for the Fourth of July weekend in 2021. The whole gang went on a hike to the lookout tower atop the Sierra Buttes. After a long hike to the top, they enjoyed the view and Amy prepared to hike back down. Peter took her aside and said he had a story to tell her. With Rhinoceros barking in the backpack on her back, Peter told Amy about his trip to Las Vegas to meet her father in person and ask for his blessing for their marriage. Peter got down on one knee and pulled his Grandmother's ring out of his pocket and asked if Amy would marry him. Amy, of course, said "yes, please" and the couple hiked most of the way back down holding hands.
