Can we bring our children to the reception?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we chose to keep our wedding reception an adults only affair. You deserve the night off! If anyone needs help making arrangements for childcare, please let us know and we will do our best to assist!

Are the ceremony & the reception located at the same place?

Answer

No, the wedding Mass will take place at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Philadelphia, PA from 3:00-4:00 pm and the reception will be at The Lucy in Philadelphia, PA from 5:30-11:30 pm.

How far is The Lucy from St. John's Church?

Answer

The Lucy is about a 7 minute walk from St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Depart the church to your left and head west on Chestnut Street. Hook a left on Broad Street and you'll eventually find The Lucy on your left! If you've hit Locust Street, you've gone a smidge too far.

What can we do in between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There will be roughly an hour & a half between the ceremony and reception. The Lucy will open its doors 30 minutes prior to cocktail hour with champagne waiting to greet you! This would be the perfect time to check into your hotel & if you're not staying the night, feel free to stop for a coffee at Starbucks on 13th & Chestnut Street, or maybe start the party early with a cocktail at McGillin's Olde Ale House, listed under our Philly Favorites location. But come hungry!!

Will there be valet parking at the church or the reception venue?

Answer

Unfortunately no valet parking will be available at the church or the reception venue. There is a paid parking garage directly across the street from the church, but we would strongly recommend utilizing the DoubleTree Hilton parking garage directly next to the reception venue. Walk to the church from this garage if possible so you can avoid paying for parking twice and acquire your car safely & easily at the end of the night.
