Andrew and Maureen met through a mutual friend while out in Asbury Park. After talking all night they decided to keep the conversation going and started dating. But a few short months later Maureen took a job in Wyoming which was over 2,000 miles away. That conversation was continued but was a bit more long distance. By the time Maureen returned to the East Coast in the fall, they were stronger and closer than ever. Many trips, hang outs with friends and relaxing evenings together have turned that conversation into the start of an exciting future together.

While on a trip to Acadia National Park in Maine, Andrew was adamant about seeing the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain. The morning comes where they were able to go up to see the sunrise and it was pouring rain as they left the campsite. When arriving at the top of the mountain it was still raining and the wind had grown even stronger. Twenty minutes before sunrise the rain stopped and the wind died down. Andrew and Maureen finally got out of the car and saw the first rays of sunlight peak through the clouds. During this moment, Andrew found the only grassy patch on the mountain to get down on one knee and ask Maureen to marry him. She quickly said yes and Andrew was very relieved.
