Dj and Ali initially met on Instagram. As a high school senior and a baseball playing college freshman, their relationship for several months consisted of FaceTime calls every chance they got. These calls always resulted in the couple falling alseep because neither could hang up. Autumn of 2014, at a high school football game, David and Ali planned to meet in person for the first time. They had an entire weekend planned to spend with each other. As he walked through the gates, “love at first sight” was more than just a saying. Ali was told she was not allowed to date a “Frazier boy”. After meeting this Frazier boy, Ali didn’t care, she planned for them to meet again the next day. A night spent with Dj was in the works and Nana thought Ali was at a friends for the weekend. Of course, NOTHING gets past Nana. Ali received a text from her Nana that said “you are not at your friends house and I am 5 minutes away to pick you up”. Dj and Ali were at least 15 minutes away, as they raced to beat Ali’s Nana, a cop flashed his lights. They didn’t stop.. The young couple truthfully fell in love in the back of the cop car, the rest is history. As a young couple, they faced challenges and struggled with them. They took much needed time apart and always knew if they were meant to be, they’d find a way back to one another. The undeniable bond, sense of comfort, and true love they felt for the other as a human being was used to rebuild their relationship. Secretly, for a year and a half, Dj and Ali rebuilt their relationship from scratch. They became friends again, true friends. They helped each other in the hardest situations, they came to each other in times of need no matter the hour, they were there for each other, every single time. They changed together, they grew together, they beat the odds together. Fast forward to today, a happy, healthy, beautiful family of three!! Their next chapter, a marriage.
