Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire for the wedding - we’d love it if you left the jeans at home. Wear comfortable shoes as the ground can be uneven at the venue. The wedding will be outdoors so make sure to bring a jacket in case it gets cold. Oktoberfest (dirndl/lederhosen) or dressy casual attire for the welcome party.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Yes, there will be roundtrip transportation provided from the Royal Sonesta Hotel to Bridal Veil Lakes - see the Travel section for more details

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes there's a small lot but given the unlit narrow gravel road up to the venue, we highly recommend you use the roundtrip shuttle we're providing from the Royal Sonesta Hotel

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Bridal Veil Lakes will be cooler than Portland with the average high/low of 75/55F in Mid-September. We recommend using Bridal Veil Falls State Park, Oregon as the location in your weather app/website of choice.

What if it rains?

Umbrellas will be available for the ceremony and cocktail hour will be moved to the covered pavilion.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged but for the cocktail hour/reception, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #DiepInLove so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
