Diana: While at our mutual friend’s party, Artie says to me - “I have the perfect guy for you to meet”. I had heard this far too many times & replied, “Oh, don’t ever say that”. But I was always open to meeting someone introduced by friends. Artie gave me the breakdown…Shawn is a good buddy of his who he grew up with who just moved back to St. Pete, hard worker, laughs easily & loves boating. (Bonus, a boater!) Forgot to mention he’s a chef! (Huge bonus!) A month later we finally met when Shawn asked me to go out on a sunset boat cruise ride. He even invited my dog, Mollie! This was the very beginning of what got us where we are today. To both of our surprises, Artie was right! We are perfectly matched from what we love to do, our love for family/friends, love for dogs & our love for each other. (Can’t forget love for boating!) We are so grateful for what we now have…such a blessing for both of us. I also gained an amazing son, Evan. What a win-win! A BIG THANK YOU to Artie…I’m a lucky girl! Shawn: I moved back to St. Pete & reconnected with Artie. One night he told me he has the perfect girl for me. He gave me Diana’s info & I gave her a call. We exchanged voicemails but still had not talked. One night at our local pub, Harvey's, I ran into Artie. He asked how things were going with Diana & I let him know we had not met yet. He told me to text her to come meet us - so I did. She said she was busy with family & I replied… “Slip out the back, Jack”. She replied, “Make a new plan, Stan” & we proceeded to go back & forth with Paul Simon’s lyrics. A couple of weeks later we finally met for a boat ride. A short cruise turned into 4 hours of wonderful conversation. So much in common…time flew! After a few dates & everything just seemed to “click”. Talking every day I soon found myself wanting to see her every day. I’ve never met a more genuinely beautiful person both inside & out. Her infectious smile & sense of humor keeps me smiling daily.
