The story old as time, boy meets girl, girl meets boy, boy introduces his mom on the same night, they immediately fall madly in love, and 5 years later he finally proposes. When asked if I saw the proposal coming my answer is “after all this time there was always a hope that today is the day”.However, I don’t know if it was because of my birthday or being too preoccupied with my own existential pre- midlife crisis but that day I could not of been more unaware of just how nervous Levan was. Finally about midway through our special night and a pilot that scared me back into reality, I realized something more was happening. The clues where there but my heart said no, it’s just a party. As we walked to the penthouse of this random building in Dallas with the guise of a “rooftop bar” I let myself dream just for a second that this was the night and boy did my dreams fall short. The wait was well worth it, this proposal was on the scale of a flash mob in grand central station. Minus the embarrassment from being the center of attention. It was such a perfect moment and I am so lucky to one day very soon call this wonderful man, my husband!
