If you have time to spare while in town, take the Metra into the city!! ~1 hour train ride from Elgin and there are plenty of fun winter activities (if it's not 20 degrees below zero that is..) Recommendations available upon request :)
Great beer! 10 min Uber from the hotel and right along the Fox River where you can hop around to other bars and restaurants.

One of our favoriteeee breakfast spots! It fills up pretty fast but we never have to wait too long. They have bloody mary's and mimosas, too (I mean..if you're into that sorta thing..)
