Cades Cove -Scenic Drive
The Cades Cove Loop winds for 11 miles through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a picturesque drive with a backdrop of the mountain peaks and its lush, rolling greens. During your drive, keep an eye out for white tail deer, coyote, elk, fox and black bears. Visitors often spy black bears in the late afternoon/early evening hours.
Anakeesta Theme Park
Take a scenic ride via the Chondola ride to the summit of Anakeesta Mountain where you enter the magical Firefly Village. Enjoy spectacular views of downtown Gatlinburg along the way. At the top, you’ll experience majestic scenic views of Mt. LeConte, quaint gift shops and casual dining at our Smokehouse BBQ food truck or savory pastries, hot drinks, and of course ice cream at Pearl’s Pie in the Sky. Laurel Falls Trail
Roundtrip, the hike to Laurel Falls and back is 2.3 miles in total length. Hikers will climb roughly 314 feet in elevation before arriving at the 80-foot waterfall. Laurel Falls is very photogenic, and is widely considered to be one of the best waterfall hikes in the Smokies. The waterfall consists of an upper and a lower section, divided by a walkway which crosses the stream (Laurel Branch) at the base of the upper falls. The falls receives its name from the mountain laurel that blooms along the trail and near the falls in May.
