Emily and Jess first met at Purdue University as freshmen living on the same floor. Their shared love of outdoor walks, wine, reading books, and medical humor has grown their friendship. Last summer their closeness continued to grow through many pickleball games, shopping endeavors, and double dates grabbing pizza at Crafters Pizza and Drafthouse.

Laura is not only one of Jess's future sisters-in-laws, but also one of Jess's close friends. Laura and Jess originally hit it off through mutual music taste by attending multiple concerts together. Their relationship has continued to grow through hiking trips in Gatlinburg, wine dates, and a Bloomington birthday weekend getaway. Although Laura moved to North Caroline, their friendship continues as they send monthly song recommendations and pictures of their dogs.
Jenny Zerla

Jenny is the younger Zerla sister that Jess is excited to call her sister-in-law. Jenny and Jess currently share the stress of school as Jenny is achieving her undergraduate in physical therapy at Ohio University. Beyond their medical similarities, Jenny and Jess have grown their relationship as friends through multiple trips of Christmas caroling in Pittsburgh, coffee runs, knee boarding, and golfing.
Tori Slagle

Tori and Jess met while working at IU Health Methodist in the emergency department. Although Tori abandoned Jess for the cardiovascular intensive care unit upstairs, their friendship has continued to grow for the last 4 years. Tori and Jess enjoy pushing each other at the gym and trialing food at new restaurants downtown. Jess has been known to push Tori outside of her comfort zone as Jess is responsible for Tori first alcoholic shot and first college football game. Without Tori's mutual understanding of the nursing profession, Jess would probably drive Nick crazy with her "gross" medical stories.
Christopher Bluish

Christopher has been friends with Nick since they were three years old. Both growing up in the same neighborhood made their friendship a given. Christopher and Nick continued their friendship through school as they attended St. Louis de Montfort, Guerin Catholic, and Purdue University together. Nowadays, their friendship continues through attending sporting events and going on runs together.
Evan Zolcak

Who knew Laura bringing Evan into the family would create such a bromance between these two. Whether they are trying to make inappropriate jokes, fighting over trading rules in fantasy football, or seeing who can run the mini marathon faster, Evan and Nick have created an instant friendship.
Dan Dicks

Dan and Nick originally met in high school as they attended Guertin Catholic together. They then went on to become roommates at Purdue University. They continued their friendship by going out to the bars midweek to play euchre and going to the gym to relieve stress. These days, they keep in touch through phone calls and planning frequent trips to the Indy 500 and Lake Michigan.

Joe and Nick first met working together during a summer internship for Hancock County. While doing roadside culvert maintenance, the two developed a friendship that continued at Purdue. They stay in touch by going on frequent mid-day walks and attending the annual armpit open.
