We're getting married!

We met in Freshman year of high school at lunch. I got his number and told him that he should maybe ask me out sometime. A few weeks and a couple parent-drop off dates later and we were young and in love.

Hunter told me to be ready and in the car by 10:30 am Saturday morning with no context other than we were going to Spokane. We drove and talked about the future and listened to music, singing way too loud. We made it to Manito Park. It then hit me that this was probably happening. I had brought a change of shoes because I didn't know what the plan was but if the proposal was going to happen today, I was committed to the heels, beauty is pain. We made our way around the gardens at a painstakingly slow pace so my feet didn't fall off. Finally, we made it to the Japanese Garden, the one place Hunter had said he wanted to go to. We sat and looked out of the pond and stared at the largest koi fish we had ever seen. I asked if we could go look at the waterfall as I stood up, but Hunter quickly got up as well and insisted we go the bridge first, to take pictures. We walked onto the bridge and I turned around trying to find the best angle for a picture and when I turned back, Hunter was on one knee, asking me to be his forever. I started to cry and said yes. Immediately I noticed people around us taking photos and Hunter told me to look closer at who was doing it. He had invited my two best friends to come up to Spokane to be a part of the special moment and to take pictures as well. Were so excited to celebrate the next chapter of our lives with you!
