Sean and Devon grew up in neighboring towns and both attended Plymouth Regional High School. Sean graduated in 2007, heading off to West Point – The United States Military Academy, while Devon graduated in 2010 and attended Plymouth State University. Sean and Devon had known each other for a few years but it really all started in July 2015. Sean was home from Tennessee for his cousin Mike’s wedding, and Devon was home from Maine visiting family at Owl's Nest. Sean and Devon met for lunch at the Panther Pub, their favorite local spot. After days of continuous conversation, Sean asked Devon to have dinner with him in Boston the night before he flew back to Tennessee. Devon caved and drove to Boston after work. Sean and Devon continued their relationship the long-distance way from Maine to Tennessee. Sean deployed to Afghanistan in October, 2016. Communication was hard, but the relationship grew stronger. Sean safely returned home after 9 long months. Devon drove Sean’s Mercedes down to Tennessee to welcome him home, and blew the drive shaft - that’s just ONE of the “Devon and Sean’s Mercedes stories.” Come August 2017, Devon gave her notice at her jobs in Maine and made the move to Tennessee with Sean while he finished out his time at Fort Campbell. Sean and Devon then packed up and made the move to Fort Sill, Oklahoma in February 2018. They lived there for 7 months and it wouldn’t have been possible without the lifelong friends they made and margaritas they drank. Sean and Devon then packed up again and headed up to Fort Lewis, Washington. Sean spent most of the first year in Korea and Australia while Devon and Reagan held down the fort at home. Come 2020, between Sean traveling for work and COVID restrictions, they got into hiking and discovered some of the most beautiful views at 7,000 feet! Almost 6 years later on December 29, 2020, Sean proposed to Devon surrounded by family. Sean, Devon and family are excited to celebrate this new chapter together.
