The story began over three years ago when they were both living in the East Village, NYC. Maria and Devon decided to meet up after matching on Tinder. Maria recalls how they naturally just clicked and telling her friends how comfortable she felt with Devon on their first date. Meanwhile, Devon felt a little less comfortable, later telling his friends that a short stool robbed him of his 1-inch height advantage. After a few dates in which the two independently ordered the same items from the menu (we can’t help it), Devon asked Maria to be "official" with him at St. Mazie in Brooklyn (yes that's how we got Mazie, our cat's name). The rest is history...

In the midst of the pandemic, Devon planned a short and sweet weekend getaway to Montauk, NY. Long Island happened to be the first mini trip the two shared as a couple back in 2017. A beach getaway and warm weather transcends everything else. Maria mentioned how she would love to see the Montauk Lighthouse which happens to be called “the End of the World” ( how 2020). As the sun was setting, she heard her name behind her and as she turned around there was Devon on one knee. She got so excited she almost fell off the rock she was on as she peered at the most beautiful rock she ever saw and exclaimed “Yes!”. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
