We both grew up in Littleton only a few miles from each other. Being 5 years apart we never saw each other in school, yet our routes intertwined quite often. I worked at Coors field to help pay for tuition when she sang at some of the games I was working; we still never knew that the other existed. Years later when Devin started going to school for nursing at ACC, she started taking her classes in the annex of the school. She was taking classes in the annex the same time I was teaching at ACC in that same area in the automotive department. We also shopped at the same stores and went to the same restaurants. Over the years we've been together we realized how often we have been in the same place or in close contact with each other.
We went to Marino's Pizzeria before we went to a movie. After dinner and our movie, we ended up walking around the neighborhoods and eventually laid in the grass staring at the stars; we were having such a wonderful time that everything just seemed to slow down for us to be together longer that night. We ended up staying up talking and stargazing until 4am. The more time we spent together, the less time we wanted to be apart from each other. We kept talking about how astonishing it felt that we just started dating yet it felt like we've known one another for years and years already. More than 4 years later and our love continues to grow; we still like to surprise one another with the simplest little gifts or gestures of kindness. We have supported each other through thick and thin, including school, career paths, buying a house, and so much more. We don't know what we'd do without one another. We motivate each other to better ourselves and our relationship every single day.
No one know how the future will unfold for them but the one constant in our loves is that we know we will always be here for each other. Our love and dedication will remain our unyielding light that will illuminate our path, through thick and thin, good times and bad, happiness and sorrow... we will always be by each other's sides, and we are so happy that you all get to celebrate with us!
