I'm Richlyne, the younger sister of the bride. Our bond goes beyond words - a connection of love, laughter, and unwavering support. Her kindness, strength, and joy have shaped me in more ways than I can express. Witnessing Netta and Destyn's love story unfold has been a beautiful journey. Their connection is a testament to the kind of love we all dream about - sincere, pure, and destined to last a lifetime, built on faith with God at the center of their love. Picking just one favorite memory is a challenge because every moment spent is special. However, if I had to choose, growing up as kids, we used to have fashion shows outside with our cousins. The laughter, creativity, and joy we shared during those childhood moments are etched in my heart. More recently, Netta and Destyn hosted a Holiday party for our cousins, showcasing their amazing hosting skills. The joy, warmth, and love that filled the room reflected the beautiful couple they are. As we celebrate their union, I am filled with gratitude to have these wonderful souls in my life. Hello my name is Richmiel! I am a wife, mom, service member, student, cosmetologist and entrepreneur. I currently reside in Carrollton, GA with my loving husband and two beautiful children. I am the oldest of seven siblings whom I love and cherish deeply. If you couldn't tell already by my name, I am the brides older sister. One of my favorite memories of the bride and groom is from Thanksgiving last year. The couple were dancing in my living room and it was such a beautiful moment just watching the love and passion they share for each other translate in their dance Steps, twirls and touches. Their love is so genuine and pure.

My name is Airrin and I'm a business owner, lash technician and marketing student. I met Netta when I was just 13 years old at church and became close to her as well as her sister and cousins. Basically we've been friends turned to family ever since! My favorite memory of Netta and Destyn is when Netta first initially told me about him and just hearing over the months of how he admires her and encourages her through school and through her spiritual journey with God. I admire how much they love each other and have a beautiful foundation from their friendship to their relationship and i’m so honored to be apart of the joining of their union!

My name is Payonnoh and I have known the bride my whole life. Growing up as cousins and living together as kids, we've shared many fights, tears, laughter and beautiful memories together. I wouldn't trade our bond for the world. I would say my favorite memories with Netta would be just chilling in bed and talking, she always knows just what to say and gives the best advice. My favorite memories of Netta would have to be our summers together and how Netta would always make different combinations of food for us to try or having our “car washes” where we would just raise her parent’s water bill. Hey, I’m Bobby. Most days you can find me at the gym, but several times a week I’m climbing routes at the Minneapolis Bouldering Project, on the tennis court, or hiking a random trail at various state parks. When I’m not doing something active, I like to cook, read, write, hangout with my cats, and play Dungeons and Dragons. Whatever I’m doing, I always love doing it with people. I’ve known Destyn since my senior year of high school and we’ve lived together all throughout college, except for senior year. We share so many fond memories with one another, however, my all time favorite memory would have to be when we had a fight our senior year at Augsburg. Instead of falling out at the moment of confrontation (we really were about to have a fist fight), we pulled each other in by being vulnerable. We openly shared our grievances with the intention to understand one another and to make right the strain in our friendship. It was a tense moment in an incredibly tumultuous season of our lives, but our friendship became better for it.

My name is Brandon Williams! I have a heart for community, and a passion for the legal field. I spend my workday investing in community as the Criminal Justice and Safe Communities Fellow at the Minneapolis Foundation, then I attend evening classes as a law student at Mitchell Hamline. Ikr - where is the time?!? Back in 2018, Destyn and I attended a christian-conference in Atlanta during our senior year of college. We spent endless amounts of time with each other in another city in fellowship with other black college-aged Christians, building networks and a deeper understanding of issues that impact our physical and spiritual communities! We had a BALL.

My name is Christian york. I am 26 and freshly married to my beautiful wife Kayla. I was ecstatic to find out that me and one of my closets friends are getting married so close together. We can go on this journey together. I spent the last few years in the Navy traveling the world and meeting great people. But when I got out in 2022 and needed to get back to my roots/who I am as a person one of the first people I decided to really reconnect with was Destyn. One of my earliest memories of Destyn is him showing up to our first avid class together and he was the life of the party from the jump , having such an outgoing and vibrate personality. Always kept it real but he was one of the most social people I ever met and was able to seamlessly have a conversation with anyone. Since me and Destyn became friends we have always been able to confide in each other and just keep it real and have meaningful conversations without judgment from the other, thankfully we have pretty much seen eye to eye on a lot of things in life. I am thankful to have him in my life not only as a friends but also a brother for life.

I had the pleasure of meeting Destyn in college and immediately admired his ability to connect with anyone. My favorite memory with Destyn is when we spent almost every day together in the fall of 2016. I’m grateful we’ve stayed in touch, especially now as colleagues, and it’s always inspiring and uplifting when we catch up. I can’t wait to celebrate the big day with you both!

Originally from Baltimore Maryland Since Destyn said make this like a dating profile *clears throat* I like long walks on the beach, sunsets, oxtail, fried dumpling and salt fish. Can’t sing to save my life but I’ll hop in front of the room and do it because if nobody else smiles I know God will ☠️. Probably bringing the henny to the groomsmen suite and my wife is probably shaking her head reading this. My favorite memory with Destyn is actually every time he encouraged me to step or stroll. I never felt comfortable enough to step or stroll because I didn’t feel like It was natural but Destyn was patient enough with me to keep me positive and locked in! This was a constant feeling I got from my brother and I believe that’s why people gravitate toward him. His guidance, confidence, positivity and wisdom are qualities that some of the best people I’ve been around have!

My name is Kalu Abosi. I’m 27 years old. I was born and raised in Saint Paul Minnesota and currently reside in Dallas Texas. I believe the first time I met Destyn was through a mutual friend in Jr. High, But really St. Paul just small & rondo smaller, so everybody know each other. My favorite memory with Destyn was the whole fa16 IYKYK. My second fav memory was founders day 2018. Some of the guys rented an Airbnb and we just kicked backed and had a good time. We always used to bother him for not getting outside with us, and he pulled up and would not stop talking mess 😂. My last favorite memory was my birthday of 2021. This was the last time, me, Destyn and Eric really all kicked it together. Thankful for the time we got with each other

On September 3rd, 2022, I lost my brother, my deuce, to a car accident. If Eric were here today, without a doubt, he would be in this wedding. I smile while writing this because I know Eric would be so happy that I'm getting married, and I know he would be ready to be SO extra at the wedding. I wish we had more time together, but I'm thankful for all the lessons Eric taught me. He taught me not to care so much, how to be myself regardless of who's around or what people think. He taught me to live a bolder life, and after his passing, his mantra "Be who you say you are" has been with me daily. Eric taught me to get closer to every person in my life. I never realized how short life could be or how temporary our time with the people we love could be until you left. Thank you for being behind me since I met you that summer in 2016 in Folwell Hall at the University of Minnesota. Keep standing behind me, looking out, and pushing me. Love, Destyn (Ace)
