How do I get to the events?

Answer

Getting to the Welcome Event at Prairie Artisan Ales is easily done by walking from the Hampton Inn in Bricktown or taking the OKC Streetcar. Transportation will be provided to and from the Ceremony & Reception on Saturday leaving from the Hampton Inn in Bricktown. A shuttle will also be available on Sunday morning to get to the brunch, leaving from the same location. Additional details are available on the Travel page.

Question

What time should I arrive for the Ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 PM. We ask that you arrive on the supplied transportation or at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start.

Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

Attire for the ceremony and reception is festive; defined as cocktail attire but with a fun colorful flair. We encourage you to consider the intersection of lush jungle and swanky speakeasy! Play with patterns, colors and styles that make you feel confident and comfortable. For more information on festive, visit https://www.brides.com/festive-wedding-guest-attire-6361569 Sunhats, sunscreen, and footwear appropriate for walking may be desired. For all other events, please see the scheduling page for information regarding attire.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors. Cocktail hour and the reception will be indoors, with outside access. Seasonal temperatures are typically in the 60s and 70s, sometimes heading into the 80s. You may desire to bring a jacket or shawl in the event of precipitation. Alternative scheduling will be considered based on the weather outlook.

Question

Can I bring small children or additional guests?

Answer

Due to space constraints and safety considerations, we will be unable to accommodate small children and additional guests. All invitees will be named on your envelope.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony. We'd love to see your faces, not devices, fully present during the ceremony. Please be assured that we have hired an excellent photographer to ensure you have the best possible memories of our special day! As such, during the ceremony we request that all cameras and devices are thoughtfully stored and placed on silent or vibrate modes.

Question

What types of food and drink will be available? Will you accomodate my dietary needs?

Answer

We'll be serving light hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a plated dinner including a vegetarian option and a gluten free option. Dessert will be served. Guests who require accommodations for dietary restrictions and/or allergies should inform the couple promptly so that concerns can be addressed with the caterer as early as possible.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

An open bar will be available until late evening, followed by a cash bar.

Question

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

While we would love to have you included on our special day, we realize that is not a reality for everyone. Unfortunately, if you are unable to attend in person there will not be a hybrid component, but we will be excited to share photos and memories of the day with you after!

Question

Does the wedding have a theme?

Answer

Well, we are getting married at a zoo! Be prepared for botanical and animal motifs throughout. The couple also shares an appreciation for whiskey, cocktails, and wine, which will be present in décor! Both interests will be represented in our green and copper color palette.

Question

Is the venue accessible?

Answer

The Oklahoma City Zoo is an accessible location with accommodations for various needs. Those requiring trained service animals are allowed within the zoo, but not within any interactive exhibits (aviaries). For more information, or if you require specific accommodations, visit the zoo website at https://www.okczoo.org/amenities_accessibility.
