We had a few classes together in high school (we had known each other since middle school) so we knew of each other. One specific day we were waiting for our parents after school in the athletic hall and this was the time that Subway Surfers was a popular game. Xavier ranted on about he could beat my high score. We instantly clicked and once our parents had picked us up from school we basically went our own ways - until Xavier had gotten one of our mutual friends to give him my phone number and he sent me a text. Afer hanging out with him after school I learned that i could just be myself around him just as he could just be himself around me. From then on has been history!!

Xavier planned to take a trip before Christmas to Ruidoso. We began looking for cabins when he suggested us take our moms on the trip! He even hired a photographer for what I thought were Christmas photos. The day of the proposal everyone got up and got ready and we headed out to take photos. On our very last pose I stood in the front and I thought Xavier was standing behind me because the photographer said he wanted to get a shot of me front and center and then vise versa. When the photographer told us to switch I turned around to find Xavier on one knee asking to marry me!
