Things To Do

We're so excited to share some of our favorite places in Guadalajara. All places below have amazing restaurants and bars. They are all within driving minutes of the city center.
Tequila

Tequila

Tequila, Jal., Mexico

Tequila is known around the globe as an iconic spirit, made from blue agave. It’s also the name of a town in Mexico’s state of Jalisco, at the very heart of the tequila-producing region. In Tequila you can find your favorite tequila at a fraction of the price you see in the US. Tequila is a sightseeing town that offers plenty of photogenic scenes along with tours on how they make tequila which can be fun and educational.

Centro Historico

Centro Historico

Guadalajara, Jal. 44200, Mexico

The historic center of Guadalajara is one of the city’s most concentrated areas of historical, architecturally impressive landmarks and definitely not one to be missed on any visit to the state of Jalisco. The area is very walkable and they also offer tours around town in a horse carriage.

Tlaquepaque

Tlaquepaque

Tlaquepaque, Jal., Mexico

Tlaquepaque is less than 10kms southeast of Guadalajara and can be visited independently or with a guided tour. If you’re short on time, this half-day tour covers the best of both worlds with an informative walking tour of Guadalajara’s historic sites as well as a visit to Tlaquepaque, Jalisco. They are heavily known of having mariachis at restaurants.

Chapala

Chapala

Chapala, Jal., Mexico

Only an hour drive from Guadalajara brings you to Lake Chapala. It is Mexico's largest lake, and the surrounding area is also home to the largest concentration of expats in the world. The Chapala area is home to thousands of Canadian and American Snowbirds escaping the winters in the far north. There are many things to see and many restaurants that serve great food.

Colonia Americana

Colonia Americana

This Guadalajara neighborhood is considered the coolest neighborhood in the world (google it). This downtown district of Guadalajara in Mexico topped the list thanks with its appealing blend of creative squats, art deco mansions, sleek café culture and banging nightlife. All of this is all in one street called Avenida Chapultepec.

Andares

Andares

Guadalajara Plaza Andares is a luxury shopping center that has a wide open space used by visitors as a place to relax, meet friends, and simply walk from one part of the mall to another. In the "plaza" you can find designer clothes, both American and Mexican restaurants, and the latest nightclubs and bars. They also have the high end hotels like the Hyatt Regency and is surrounded by mansion Airbnb. This location is a 20 minute drive from our venue.
