Renee and Dave met at the least expecting place to find love.... a job interview! Renee was finishing her final year at UCLA and was looking for a part-time internship in human resources and recruiting. She saw an advertising on LinkedIn for a boutique staffing agency in El Segundo called Prosum and decided to shoot her shot! Dave was one of the managers that interviewed her, and needless to say, she got the job! Their relationship was strictly professional at first, but after about a year of being close friends and some occasional flirty banter, Dave decided to make the first move and ask Renee out on a date to Bodega Wine Bar in Santa Monica. The date was going amazing at first, they had so much in common and their chemistry was palpable. That was until Renee spilled a glass of wine on Dave's brand new pants.... classic! He was a gentleman of course and brushed it off. One date led to another and before long Renee and Dave were in a full-blown office romance, living their Jim and Pam dream. They had so much fun together, the transition from friends to more was seamless. Their common values and goals aligned and they could talk and laugh for hours together. The rest is history!

After 5 years together, Dave popped the question in Napa Valley on October 28th, 2023! Renee had been suspicious the months leading up to the engagement, but she had no idea how sentimental the proposal would be. Dave put the plan into action by organizing a spontaneous trip to wine country in Northern California. It was the most perfect weekend the two could have asked for. Filled with quality time together, beautiful views, and delicious food and wine. The cherry on top for Renee was Taylor Swift's 1989 album re-release.... Dave was extremely patient that weekend to say the least. The day of the proposal Renee and Dave had mimosas and pastries on the patio, and reflected back on the memories they made together over the years. Renee could tell Dave was nervous, but excited to take this next step in their relationship. They made their way down to Round Pond winery where Dave had the surprise in store. They were walking through the estate's garden when he dropped down on one knee and popped the question! Renee noticed some flashes coming from the distance, and soon after her mom and dad came out from behind the bushes with a camera! There were lots of laughs, smiles, and tears shared amongst them before heading upstairs to a private wine and food tasting. It was truly the best day, and Renee and Dave cannot wait for this next chapter of their lives together!
