We met on Facebook dating in November 2019. I had sat with my (now) maid of honor in a tattoo parlor on Halloween. That weekend is when I messaged Derek for the first time. He responded even though he was at work and after 2 weeks straight of hanging out until midnight (literally every day after work, we could not get enough of each other), we pretty much knew we were it for each other. We are best friends in every aspect of the word. It only took a few days for Derek to ask me to be his girlfriend, and we never slowed down. I met his sister (Morgan) and brother-in-law (Jeremy) almost immediately, same with Derek and my family. Since then, the Colson's and Malone's have welcomed each of us with open arms and love. We both decided we did not want to waste anymore time (and why would we, we found our other half!!). We got engaged on December 31st, 20 seconds to midnight, 2021 after 2 years of dating. Now, after a 2 year engagement, I am finally going to steal his last name and become a Colson.
