The first word Brittany ever spoke to Michael was a DM on Instagram, and she said, "I hope you don't think this is weird, but I think you are really attractive." All Michael sent back was his phone number. Their first date was to the movies where they had their first kiss. A few days later, Michael asked Brittany to be his girlfriend, and they have been together ever since.
In high school, Michael and Brittany went to six dances together and supported each other at swim meets or band competitions. They got to watch each other walk across the stage during graduation and so much more. They were inseparable and just loved doing life together. Not many people can say they married their high school sweetheart...
On their three year anniversary, Michael took Brittany to ride horses in Cades Cove, and they also tubed down the river. Michael, all day, would look at Brittany and smile. Brittany was thinking he was just being weird. Little did she know, Michael had something big planned. After tubing, they rode through the Great Smoky Mountains and came to a look out point. As they were looking at the view, Michael knelt down on one knee and asked Brittany to marry him. She said yes, all while crying like a baby!!!!
In May of 2018, Michael and Brittany got a sweet boxer and named him Ruger. Ruger brought them even closer as a couple. They got to watch each other walk across the stage during graduation again at Northeast State. They celebrated when Michael got accepted into the Chemical Engineering Program at UT, and Brittany into the Radiologic Science Program at ETSU. They have now both finished their undergraduate degrees, and Michael is working in Clinton, TN at Geon Performance Solutions. The Knoxville area is where they will officially begin their life together as Mr. & Mrs. Simpson, & we can't wait to celebrate them!
