While we love your little ones, our cocktail hour and reception will be an adults-only event so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making alternative arrangements for your little ones ahead of time so you can celebrate with us.
The dress code for our wedding is formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and gentlemen should wear suits and ties. But more importantly, our theme is Masquerade Ball; come with your mask... dressed to impress.
No, the ceremony will be held at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. While the reception will be held at the Essence Event Center.
Yes, please! We encourage guests to post pictures on their social media channels; we only request that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag, #introducingthejohnsons, and our social media handles so we can keep track of your pictures. What's more, is that we have Tori Williams Events planning our wedding, and their request is to make sure to tag @toriwilliamsevents in your photos as well. However, they have one request: not sneak to take pictures before the room is revealed to the Bride and Groom. Once the room is revealed, feel free to take pictures and share to your heart's desire.
No need to bring your wine and spirits; the Essence Event Center will provide all wine and spirits at the cash bar. No outside alcohol or drugs are allowed on the premises of the Essence Event Center; this will jeopardize the event's continuation if identified.
