Ecola State Park

Beautiful Beach where they filmed such classics as Point Break and Goonies! Plan to visit early as the parking lot fills up pretty quickly in the summer. There is a fee to park but in our opinion, it is worth it!

Hug Point State Recreation Site

This is such a cool beach--really awesome and unique rock formations, caves, and tidepools when the tide is low. As with the other beaches, the parking lot fills quickly so plan to go early or later in the day to find a parking spot.

Kelly's Brighton Marina & Campground

One of our favorites! Rent a boat and catch your own or purchase crab or oysters for them to cook for you! They have a little store that sells crackers, lemon, and butter as well as one of the best selections of canned beverages you can find anywhere! If you are lucky, one of the marina kittens will come say hello as you enjoy your crab next to the fire as you take in the amazing view of the bay.

Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters

Seriously the best coffee and pastries pretty much anywhere! There will be a long line. It is worth it. They are closed Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Funky flavors. Funky hours. Worth it!

Bahama Mama's Bikes, Boards & Beach Fare

Rent a bike or boogie board or shop for cute beach gear!

Manzanita Grocery & Deli - The Little Apple

Newport Aquatic Center

Kind of a drive but a fun destination! Newport also has a wax museum and fun shops in its Old Town.

Tillamook Creamery

A fun trip for a rainy day--enjoy some samples of cheese, get an ice cream cone and see how they make all the things.

Tillamook Air Museum

Another great rainy day activity. The museum houses dozens of airplanes, including the Vnek Gyrocopter, Supermarine Spitfire T. 8, Cessna 180F Skywagon, and the Alien Blimp, among others.
