Cody and Dena have known each other since they were kids. They both went to school in Sandy Valley, until Dena moved to Perry right before middle school. Cody had grown up with Dena's close family and friends, who then shortly brought them together later on in life. Thanksgiving Eve 2016, Dena & Cody were both at a pregame party at Jenna & Zach Welkers house, before heading out to Dougs Dugout. You could tell before even leaving the house there was something going on between them. Once we were all out, Cody and Dena were having a casual conversation when both Jenna Welker and Nick Lockhart approached them with the "lets see a kiss". I know, romantic right?? Cody swears he didn't text Dena first after that night but we all know....he did!!

This night will always be one of the best memories. September 17th, 2020. Cody had told Dena he was heading out to golf on a Thursday night with some friends, so naturally Dena made plans to have dinner with her parents. During dinner, her dad kept rushing her to get home. She had told him that she had some stops to make before heading home and that she had plenty of time because Cody was golfing. He was telling her, "no no just get home, you can get dog food later". She was so confused but didn't think anything of it. She pulled into the driveway and what do ya know, Codys home. She walks inside and he says "hunny, come out back really quick I gotta show you something" and right over the back porch, is a sign that said, will you marry me? in the grass! She turned around and Cody was down on one knee, with Miley girl right by his side! The laughs and cries will be a moment and memory that will last forever! Cheers to forever!
