While both working at Paychex on different teams, Jamie's roommate (and now bridesmaid) Lianna introduced Jamie and Steve at one of her team's happy hours. Steve offered Jamie a bite of his buffalo chicken pizza (of course), and now a house, dog, and 6 years later, the rest is history!

Since moving to Webster 3 years ago, Jamie has always wanted to go for a walk along the Webster Pier, as there is nothing that Jamie loves more in the world than the water and her dog Opie (and Steve, of course). Finally, on a Friday in August 2019, Steve suggested they take Opie for a walk down by the pier after work. Right before they planned to leave for the pier, it started pouring and Steve was worried his plan would be ruined. Fortunately the weather cleared up as they made their way to the pier for their walk. Because of the storm that just happened, it was extremely windy and choppy, making it difficult for Jamie as she was trying to take a million pictures of Opie, per usual. As a big gust of wind hit her, Jamie turned her head back quickly and saw what looked like Steve's brother Shawn in the distance taking pictures, mostly because his coral-colored pants gave him away (no one can pull off coral pants like the Conlon brothers). As Jamie was confused and turned back around to Steve, he was on one knee in front of the water and asked Jamie to marry him. Through many tears, Jamie said yes!
