Our Wedding

No Frills, No Fuss, Just Us

Our wedding will be an intimate affair, with just family and several close friends. Our goal is to put less focus on the wedding and more focus on our marriage. Thank you to all of our friends and family who are praying for us and will be celebrating with us in spirit!

Our Honeymoon

Alison and Daniel will be honeymooning in Italy! They'll spend a few days on the Amalfi coast for some restful relaxation time together and then head to Rome for adventuring and exploring!

Our Story

◼︎ Coming Together ◼︎ Daniel joined the Life.Church staff team in June 2009. Alison joined in January 2023. They worked together at the Life.Church Edmond campus for nine months before they both realized they had feelings for each other. One day at work, Daniel shared a little too much about his feelings and Alison started to wonder if he had feelings for her. So, that evening, Alison called Daniel and asked him for “1-2% more” information on what he was feeling. That’s when they both admitted that they had feelings for each other. ◼︎ The First Date ◼︎ The next day, Alison and Daniel met with their campus pastor, Sam, and asked what it would take for them to be able to pursue each other by going on a date. Sam was very helpful and started the process with HR. A few weeks later, they had the blessing of Life.Church leadership to go on a first date! By this time, Daniel was so excited to take Alison to dinner that he had scheduled and rescheduled a reservation at Frida Southwest four times! So, Alison and Daniel went on their first date… and then the next week, they went on another date. They kept doing weekly dates until it became very clear that they were building a strong friendship foundation and making each other better. ◼︎ The Proposal ◼︎ On April 4, 2024, Alison and Daniel took a “daycation” in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. Daniel planned out the whole day and pitched it as a “break in between Easter and baptism weekend.” They went hiking up Elk Mountain and then spent the afternoon and evening relaxing in hammocks and then making and enjoying a camp dinner together. The temperature was perfect, the wildflowers were blooming and the sky was clear. After dinner, they hiked up Little Baldy Peak to watch the sunset over the Wichita Mountains. That’s when Daniel proposed. Alison was completely surprised and caught off guard, but said yes! After the sun went down, fireflies came out and lit up the prairie, while stars became clear in the night sky. Alison and Daniel enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation for a while and then headed back to Oklahoma City, telling friends and family along the way home. ◼︎ God's Providence ◼︎ Through their whole relationship, Alison and Daniel have seen God working in their stories. Looking back, they can clearly see that even in painful seasons, God was working His plan for each of them separately and together. He has shown them both so much grace, love and redemption. God truly is able to use the good, the bad and the ugly to write a better story. ◼︎ A Note From Daniel ◼︎ “I really wasn’t looking for or anticipating a relationship. I was pretty good being single. But God put Alison right in my path and revealed her as an amazing woman of God who makes me a better man, and more importantly, a better follower of Jesus. He could not have made it more clear that she is part of the story He is writing for me and I am so thankful that she is. When God is writing your story, it’s never too late for a plot twist! Alison is kind, caring, loving, bold, courageous, resilient, passionate and she pursues Jesus like no one else I know. I’m so honored to become her husband!” ◼︎ A Note From Alison ◼︎ "If you like Hallmark movies then you know the classic plot line where 'girl meets boy, boy and girl work together, boy and girl fall in love'. That was Daniel and I, but with God as the writer. There’s a story in the Bible about a girl named Ruth, and a guy named Boaz. Both had to trust that God was their ultimate provider. Like Boaz, Daniel from day one has led with integrity, provided stability and consistency, and continually pointed me to Jesus. I'm so thankful for God’s ability to redeem both of our stories as we both continued to focus on Jesus as our ultimate provider. And God's extravagant love to give us each other when we weren't looking for it. God in His (perfect) timing loves to show up and show off. Counting down the days until I get to be Daniel's wife."

For all the days along the way
