We grew up childhood friends. Having known each other since I (Deliah) was 7 and Joe-Eric was 9, having a close relationship seemed to always follow us. After having separation for over 6 years, it would be at Live the Life church during a youth service that Joe-Eric and I would cross paths again but this time, most definitely at a different stage of life. 3 years would pass as we only built upon the friendship that was already there, until we sat at Local Coffee at the Pearl. There, drinking coffee while both laughing and crying, Joe-Eric and I would speak about our future together. No longer in the perspective of friends but as a couple. Some may say it was meant to be, I just say... I knew it all along
Keeping secrets from Deliah is quite the task because she is the queen at sniffing things out. So to say the least, planning a surprise birthday party that actually ended with myself proposing was no small task. Yet after getting all our closest church friends and our family together, I wouldn't have pictured the moment more perfect. Proposing to Deliah is by far the 2nd greatest decision of my life, that is because accepting Jesus is always going to be 1st.
