We're getting married!!!

My best friend Kristen O'Flarity went to college with Jason. She posted on facebook a picture of Jason with 2 of his buddies, and when I saw the picture I told her there was something special about him. Of course I found him incredibly handsome (hello Canadian features!), but he also looked like a kind, caring soul who knew how to appreciate the small things in life. She got us talking to each other in October of 2011, and at her Christmas party in December that same year she orchestrated our meet-cute. [Definition of "meet-cute" in a film or television show:: an amusing or charming first encounter between two characters that leads to the development of a romantic relationship between them]

Being 21 when we met, we weren't quite ready for our great love story. We had some more growth to do (5 years to be exact). After an exchange of letters and a phone conversation, we met up again in September of 2018 and were finally ready to admit to ourselves, and to each other, that we had loved each other from afar this whole time. And now we are ready to proclaim it in front of the world, under God, that that love that started years ago is true and everlasting, a gift from above.
