Caitlyn's sister-in-law and forever best friend! Caitlyn and Faith got close in high school before Barrak and Faith even started dating. They went to the same high school and church, so they spent a lot of time together. Caitlyn and Faith are still very close, and Faith has been such an amazing help with all the wedding planning!! Jared Vogel

Best Man

Adam's club soccer teammate in high school, and college roommate freshman and sophomore year! Adam and Jared spent a lot of their college summers on rafting and fresh-water fishing adventures across the local state parks. Jared was the first of Adam's friends to meet Caitlyn, and he is responsible for introducing Caitlyn and Adam! (picture is from our move-in day freshman year of college, August 2018)

Erica Jacobson

Caitlyn's college bestie from freshman year. Caitlyn and Erica become friends through YoungLife at UMD, but continued the friendship throughout COVID when they were both not at UMD. Their friendship is now stronger than ever, and Caitlyn was lucky enough to even have Erica there when Adam proposed to her! Erica tried to disguise herself with sunglasses and a mask... but her parka definitely gave her away. (picture is from 2023 when Adam proposed and Erica was there to take the proposal pictures)

Mike Cybert

Adam and Mike met at college orientation, and Adam and some friends talked Mike into Aerospace Engineering. From then on, the two took classes together, played sports together, and even lived together sophomore to senior year. Mike convinced Caitlyn to keep hanging around after Jared moved out, and is a big part of the reason Adam and Caitlyn became such close friends. (picture of from graduation pictures, May 2022)

Caitlyn's college bestie from freshman year. Grace and Caitlyn also met through YoungLife at UMD, and their friendship is stronger than ever, even though Grace decided to graduate a year early and become an adult (boooo). (picture is from 2019 at our first UMD football game)

Chris Galindo

Adam and Chris met the first day of freshman year of college since Chris was Mike's roommate. Without AC in Adam's dorm, he spent countless hours in Chris and Mike's room and the two became very close friends. Chris and Adam lived together junior and senior year. Kaleigh Cassell

Caitlyn actually met Kaleigh freshman year, but they reconnected senior year over Intramural soccer and have been besties ever since. Caitlyn and Kaleigh ran in very similar friend groups for multiple years, and it is honestly crazy it took them so long to really become friends. (picture is from 2022 at Looneys Pub when our soccer team went to watch the USA World Cup game)

Tristan Thomas

Tristan and Adam formally met in middle school, but faced off against each other on rival club soccer teams for a few years before that. The two became very close friends in high school, as they were in all the same classes, played soccer, and ran cross country together. Even throughout college, the two spent much of their summers fishing together, and after graduating college they were roommates for a year. (picture is from 9th grade, October 2014)

Chloe McMurray

Caitlyn's hometown bestie for the past 5 or so years. Caitlyn and Chloe went to the same church and high school, so they got to see a lot of each other. Once they went to college, it was cool to have a friendship where they only connected a couple times a year, but when they did connect it always felt like no time had passed at all! Barrak Gay

Barrak is Caitlyn's older brother, and him and Faith have been living in Myrtle Beach since before Caitlyn and Adam were together. Barrak invited Adam to accompany Caitlyn to Myrtle Beach for his Fire Academy graduation and wedding, and he absolutely loved his time there. Adam and Caitlyn enjoy any excuse they have to go visit Barrak and Faith. Adam's most recent trip to visit was just after Christmas 2022, where Barrak and Adam took the crown in a highly controversial gingerbread house competition.
